Chinese Ferries. One of the cheapest – and best – activities that you can do in Hong Kong is take one of the ferries between Kowloon and Central. Inexpensive, this ride will show you sights and views of the city skyline in a way you simply won’t see just by being in the business district. The Kowloon side will show you celebrities possibly gracing the Avenue of the Stars with their handprints, so keep your eyes peeled. If you take the ferry in the evening, you can really see the city come to life!

You can take the red tram up the side of the mountain, with a 47-degree ascent in some places, and feel like you’re on a theme park ride with breathtaking views as you go! Once you get to the top, you’re greeted with shops, eateries and even a Madame Tussauds to visit. That’s not all – the Peak Tower can offer you views into China on a cloudless day, which absolutely needs to be taken advantage of.
